 Rosanna Gomez Moreno
Rosanna Gomez Moreno is a System Executive for International Business Development for the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and Executive Director for International Services at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. In addition, Ms. Moreno is a Texas licensed attorney.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio earning her B.A. in 1983 and earned an M.A. in International Relations from St. Mary's University in 1994. In 1996, Ms. Moreno attended South Texas College of Law in Houston and received her Juris Doctorate in 1999.
During her tenure at Memorial Hermann, Ms. Moreno has been responsible for international business development and for the management of the International Services Center at the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center campus. In addition, she has been responsible for establishing key international relationships abroad with key medical schools, hospitals and private organizations in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, Spain, Turkey, Japan, China and Saudi Arabia.
As an active member of the Houston community, Ms. Moreno received numerous Awards & Recognitions including the “2009 Top 100 Hispanic Women in Leadership: Outstanding Community Leader Award” and the “2009 Female Executive of the Year” award at the Tribute to the Hispanic Woman by Sucesos Newspaper and Citgo Petroleum Co.
Ms. Moreno’s commitment has extended to serving on the Houston TEXANS Hispanic Advisory Board and is the former chair of the University of Houston Center for Mexican American Studies Endowment Campaign. Additionally, Ms. Moreno chaired the HISD Graduation Oversight Committee which addressed the drop-out rate in Houston. Ms. Moreno served as the 2006 and 2007 Chair of Houston’s Edward James Olmos Latino Book and Family Festival. With a strong belief breast cancer awareness must extend to the Latina community, Ms. Moreno participated on the Susan G. Komen Foundation – Houston Affiliate Development Task Force in 2003.
Ms. Moreno is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a former member of the Texas Economic Development State of Texas/Mexico Office Advisory Committee. Appointed by the Mayor of Houston, Ms. Moreno serves on the Mayor’s International Business Development Council for the Americas.
